Tribal Casino In Arizona Could Provide Much Needed Employment

Finding a job these days in the US is no easy task. While most people are in the process of losing their jobs, a situation is arising in Arizona that could actually create over 3,000 employment opportunities.

The Tohono O’odham Nation is waiting on federal approval of putting 134 acres of land into trust. Once that is accomplished, the tribe plans on building the largest casino in the state of Arizona.

The tribe estimates that right off the bat when the casino is built there would be 1,400 jobs available. The, as the restaurants in the complex are completed, they would offer around another 1,600 jobs.

These are only the permanent jobs that could be filled if the casino becomes reality. The building of the casino itself would provide temporary employment for over 1,000 construction workers. That could provide a big boost to the struggling economy.

The casino complex has five restaurants planned. On the casino floor there would be over 1,000 casino slot machines to go along with twenty five poker tables and fifty other table games. It would also have a 1,000 seat bingo hall.

With the economy worsening in many areas, casinos are becoming somewhat of a savior. Many states have expanded their gambling laws to allow for casinos and developers have been quick to move into these areas.

Online Mobile Gaming Keeps up With the BlackBerry

For anybody who has gambled online via their mobile phone before, there’s no need to tell you just how simple and fun it is, not to mention entirely safe and secure. Now enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of cell phone user’s the world over, mobile gaming is indeed a popular activity being offered by an increasing number of online casinos.

The fact of the matter is that mobile gambling has become one of the fastest growing sectors in the online betting industry. There are several reasons why this is so. The primary reason is simply due to increased cellular penetration coupled with online gaming regulation. The UK and Asia are perfect examples of the regulatory impact.

Also contributing to online mobile gaming is the steady advancements in mobile technologies and innovation. Cellular phones these days are essentially laptops that can fit in your pocket. There’s no better example than the iPhone, which has set a precedent for what are now being called “smart phones”.

Meeting these innovations in cell phone technology are advancements in mobile software applications. One of the purveyors in this field is Spin3, which has partnered with Microgaming Software over the years to bring a realistic collection of casino table games and slots that mirror the very same games used on downloadable online casino software platforms.

One of Spin3’s greatest achievements has been in keeping up with the “smart phones”, including the iPhone itself, for which Spin3 became the first company to develop compatible mobile online casino games for. Spin3 has more recently announced its GameWire mobile casino platform has been developed to meet the needs of the most widely used smart phone in circulation today - the BlackBerry.

From the looks of their demonstration at the International Gaming Expo in London held just days ago, Spin3’s smart phone technology looks poised to bring in a flood of even more mobile gamers to Microgaming online casinos.
